Dennis M. Barlow

Dennis M. Barlow, 67, of Nutley, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. The funeral was on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 8:30 a.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dennis lived in Bergenfield, N.J., Bayonne, N.J., and Jersey City, N.J., before moving to Nutley 27 years ago. A graduate of Rutgers University and the New York Law School, Dennis was an attorney and, prior to his retirement, operated a law practice in Nutley. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a life member of the Belleville Nutley DAV No. 22, VFW Post No. 493 in Nutley, and the Vietnam Veterans of America - Chapter 510.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy F. (Treczak) Barlow; three children, Dennis M. Barlow Jr., Donna McMonagle and her husband, Kevin, and Donald Barlow and his wife, Beth, and his two granddaughters, Meghan and Erin McMonagle. Dennis also leaves behind three sisters, Kathleen Dupree, Eileen Barlow, and Patricia Martin, and three brothers, Kevin, Tim, and Terry.
